ESC Congress 2008, Munich
More than 30,000 visitors from all parts of the globe gathered in Munich for this year’s ESC (European Society of Cardiology) Congress in Munich (Aug. 30 – Sept. 3), one of the most important cardiology Congress in the world. And of course, Bayer Schering Pharma General Medicine (BSP GM) (a founding father of the conference and major sponsor) was more than represented. With a total of six satellite symposia, plus many other activities, as well, BSP GM was able to spread the word regarding its longstanding experience and competence in Cardiovascular Risk Management (CVRM) and the effectiveness of both its new and mature products.
Delegates roaming the hall could stop at the 300 sqm booth space, where Cardiovascular Risk Management presented Adalat, Pritor/Kinzal, Aspirin Cardio and Glucobay under the strategic motto 'Connecting Cardiovascular Prevention Strategies.' Such tools as a Cardiovascular Risk Management screen animation, an eLearning game and a code breaker quiz illustrated perfectly the Cardiovascular Risk Management strategy, the coexisting and overlapping CV risk factors in many patients -- e.g., hypertension, diabetes and established CVD -- and how optimal treatment should offer benefits for comprehensive risk factor management, as the Cardiovascular Risk Management products do.
Other brands represented at the booth included Ventavis and, since diagnostic imaging was the official topic at the Congress, there was also information on Diagnostic Imaging with Ultravist and Vasovist. And a matter of fact, the concept of 'connecting' was taken literally since the booth was connected to a 150sqm Xarelto booth, which was similar in both style and concept and highlighted and rounded off the impressing presence of BSP at the ESC.
